DAY THREE - WHO IS JESUS?

It’s day 3 and you’re back and we are so happy for you! These first days of discovering life in God are SO exciting. By now you probably want to know a bit more about this dude Jesus…you know he is the reason that we can be close to God, but you’re probably wondering who he is…Well get this…Jesus is the son of God. He’s also God…There’s this idea called the Trinity…which is God in 3 persons..God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit….But it’s not three different people or three different Gods…trust me it’s a hard one to get your head around…We’ll talk about it another time…for now….I want you to remember that Jesus is the son of God. John 3:16-17 is your Bible reading for today, but it says that God loved the world so much that he sent Jesus…not to judge the world but to save it. Jesus came here, to earth, born as a baby human like you and me. He lived a perfect life…He never missed the mark once. He was literally perfect. He spoke about the Kingdom of God, God’s plan for the world and people. Jesus healed the sick, he hung out with and accepted people that no one else did and he eventually died, well actually, was killed and came..back… to… life. The Bible says he had to die so we could live. He had to take the death we deserve so that God could give us eternal life…eternal life means being close to God literally forever…even after we actually die. There’s so much more we want to tell you about Jesus and his life and his purpose and everything…But for now…Read John 3:16-17 and you’ll see exactly what you need to know.
