DAY FOUR - I'M NOT ALONE?

Remember yesterday we mentioned the Trinity…God in three persons…Today we’re looking at God the Holy Spirit. It’s super important we talk about the Holy Spirit early so you can know you’re not alone. Here’s the thing…Jesus isn’t physically here now…….After he died, he came back to life and hung out with his followers for a bit and then he left to go back to be with God..The thing is, before he died he made his followers, and us a promise…He said that he’d send the Holy Spirit and that the Holy Spirit would be an advocate, or a helper, or a counselor or encourager. The Holy Spirit is literally God’s spirit guiding and leading and supporting you in your new life of following Jesus. The Holy Spirit is with you, showing you Jesus and showing you how to follow him well. Tomorrow we’re going to talk about what our lives look like when we follow Jesus, but for now I want you to remember that the Holy Spirit will help you to live for Jesus. The Holy Spirit will help you make the right choices and decisions. The Holy Spirit will even remind you when you’re missing the mark. It probably won’t be actual words you hear but it’ll be that feeling where you know that you know. The Holy Spirit isn’t scary or weird or anything like that….he’s helping you follow Jesus.
