DAY FIVE - HOW DO I DO THIS?

Ok! I know you’re probably excited to know about Jesus and you really want him to change your life and you want to live for him but you’re probably wondering what life should actually look like. We’ll make it as simple as I can for you…It’s gotta look different. It’s gotta look different from the rest of the world..Actually Jesus made it super simple…He said love God more than anyone or anything and love your neighbour as yourself. For example…If you gossip about someone and its not the way you’d want to be spoken about, then it is isn’t God’s way to live. Or if there are things in your life that feel like they’re more important than God or it feels like they decide how you live more than God does, then it’s not God’s plan for living…Like if I make all my choices and decisions based on money and making money and not giving it up then it’s probably true that money is more of a God to me than God is ‘cause I value it more than I value him. Actually the Bible says that living God’s way is very different and often it’s harder because it’s not all about me but it is very possible, especially because we have the Holy Spirit. And if you’re wondering about specific things, then read through the New Testament, especially Matthew 5 - 7. That’s where Jesus lays out his way for living in so many different areas of life. You’ll see very quickly that it all is based on the two things we spoke about before…Making God number one and loving other people. Jesus even gives us a promise in Matthew 7:24-27. Thats your Bible reading for today. What does it say happens when we choose to live our lives obeying Jesus?
